Knights of Columbus Council #10208 Honors October Family of the Month
The Knights of Columbus, Daniel P. Sullivan Council 10208, are proud to recognize Tom and Cathy Ament as our Family of the Month for October 2026 in appreciation of their outstanding dedication to their Catholic faith, Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the surrounding community.
For more than 29 years, Tom and Cathy have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to faith, family, charity, and service. Their generosity, leadership, and willingness to help others exemplify the principles of the Knights of Columbus.
Leadership and Service
Tom has been a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus for more than 29 years, serving in numerous leadership and volunteer roles, including:
Past Grand Knight, serving two years in leadership of Council 10208.
Founding member of the Family Assistance Committee, helping provide support to individuals and families facing difficult circumstances.
Active member of the Men's Club for more than 20 years.
Leader of the Pennies from Heaven charitable program, providing emergency financial assistance to individuals experiencing unexpected hardships.
Volunteer supporting the Knights' HSNP/CPID Tootsie Roll Drive, benefiting individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Through his leadership and years of dedicated service, Tom has made lasting contributions to both the Council and the Sacred Heart parish community.
Community and Charitable Outreach
Tom and Cathy have generously devoted countless hours to helping those in need.
For more than 25 years, they have prepared and delivered holiday food baskets to families in the community, bringing comfort, nourishment, and hope during the holiday season.
Cathy has also demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment through her involvement in parish organizations, including:
Past President of the Ladies of Sacred Heart (LOSH).
Active member of the Church Welcoming Committee, helping new parishioners feel at home.
Member of Guild 2 since 1997, faithfully supporting parish activities and charitable efforts.
Parish and Faith Commitment
Tom and Cathy's dedication to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church is reflected in their many years of liturgical and spiritual service.
Both have served as Lectors and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion for more than 20 years, faithfully assisting with the celebration of Mass and the spiritual life of the parish.
As Perpetual Adorers, they demonstrate their deep commitment to prayer, devotion, and the Eucharist.
Their example of Christian service and leadership has enriched the parish and inspired others to become more actively involved in the life of the Church.
